CrossFit consists of a series of functional-fitness exercises, that can be done at your pace, for a set period of time and a set format. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing, and more.

What are functional movements? Functional movements are what you do daily from sitting down in a chair, picking up an object off the floor to lifting something over your head. CrossFit will make you stronger and fitter, and adds to an overall healthy lifestyle.

CrossFit is also a great compliment to add into a current training regimen. If you are training for a marathon, an avid basketball player, or into ski racing….CrossFit will increase muscle strength, cardiovascular stamina, and flexibility.


CrossFit is designed to improve overall physical fitness and our programming at CrossFit West Seattle  can be adapted to any fitness level, age or pre-existing injury. Every movement or exercise in the program is doable and scalable. Our members are from different walks of life from being a teenager to in their mid-70’s. Never say never because EVERYONE can do CrossFit!
