It combines constant variation, intensity, and functional movements in Workouts-of-the-Day (WOD) to produce dramatic changes in strength, stamina, and body shape. Crossfit is not sport-specific and promotes broad and general overall physical fitness. Its growing popularity has been fueled by an open source and virtual community model as well as it's extraordinary results. Open SpaceWe don’t use isolation machines or treadmills, instead, the most abundant and important strength and conditioning tool at our facility is open space. We employ dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, olympic lifting, pull up bars, tumbling, sandbags, tires, and anything else that will increase strength and freedom in your everyday movements. 10 Fitness DomainsCrossFit promotes proficiency in each of 10 fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy. CrossFit adaptations include programs tailored for all individuals at all ability levels, everyone from children, seniors, football players, military special forces candidates, triathletes, weekend warriors and martial artists. CrossFit West Seattle also offers "Foundations of CrossFit" introductory classes to introduce new CrossFit participants to the core movements that are foundational to CrossFit.
